The Wild Dogs of Madikwe
These were the first wild dogs painted and possiblie candidates for inclusion in Roger and Pat's book on teh Wild Dogs. They were from Madikwe, Northwest Province, South Africa. Beautiful light and once again beautiful markings drew me to this image.

Wild Dog 2
The second wild dog painted for Roger and Pat de la Harpe's book on the Wild Dogs. I was fascinated by the markings and colouring and although a challenge managed to convey this in the painting, along with a vaguely whimsical look on its face.

I couldn't resist the pose and the blissful look on the rear dogs face. The background was fun too, although a shed load of work.
